WGHA hosts its inaugural XCHANGE meeting

On the 4th of October, the Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA) hosted its first inaugural meeting for the Global Health Innovation Xchange (Xchange) Advisory Council.

The Xchange has been strategically designed to foster a vibrant community where forward-thinking organizations, innovators, and funders passionate about driving global health innovation can come together. At the core of our platform is a commitment to cultivating a culture of collaboration, facilitating the exchange of innovative ideas, and nurturing the development of transformative solutions. By connecting innovators and organizations with private funders, we aim to create an empowering ecosystem that significantly reduces the global burden of disease by accelerating the development of inclusive and equitable innovative solutions.

The Advisory Council, comprise of Strategic and Global Health Partners of the Xchange, plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the initiative. We are truly excited about the collaborative spirit demonstrated by our partners, as well as their unwavering commitment to collaborate and collectively drive substantial advancements in global health innovation.

During the inaugural meeting, Elana Robertson, Director for the Xchange, announced the appointment of two remarkable Co-Chairs: Nwando Anyaoku, Chief Health Equity Officer at Swedish Health Services, and Rebecca Milner, Chief Advancement Officer at International Medical Corps. We are thrilled about the opportunity to collaborate with these distinguished leaders, as well as our outstanding Strategic and Global Health partners, to chart the course for the Xchange's strategic direction.

We want to invite organizations to become a valued partner or innovator member of the Xchange. Your participation as a partner would not only enrich our community but also contribute significantly to the global health innovation landscape.

We kindly invite you to join us in this exciting journey of driving positive change in global health. Your organization's partnership will be instrumental in making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals worldwide.

To discuss the possibilities of collaboration further, please do not hesitate to reach Elana Robertson at: elana.robertson@wghalliance.org.
